Short, practical notes from the team at Dental Korner in Great Neck on the things patients ask us about in the chair.
Most of what keeps your teeth healthy happens at home, between visits. These posts cover the habits we see trip people up most, like the spots a toothbrush misses and the flossing mistake that leaves half the job undone. They pair well with your next cleaning, where we can show you the hard-to-reach areas in your own mouth.
Others explain what happens during treatment, like the rubber dam we use during a root canal, and what to know before teeth whitening.
Something concerning that we have noticed in the few short months since we have started our dental practice in Great Neck was that proper oral care is not as common knowledge as many would assume.
As you may have noticed, teeth whitening is a popular dental treatment.
Today’s tip is a quick one.
A rubber dam (or dental dam) is used in our practice routinely during root canal treatments, which is sometimes the ideal treatment for tooth pain or tooth infection.
Ask us at your next visit, or send us a note and our team will get back to you.
